This state-level education association found itself at a crossroads in terms of the internal politicization of their organization and their people. A deeply-entrenched culture of political infighting existed among employees, where others’ efforts were sabotaged, fellow employees were thrown under the bus in order for another to come out on top, and gaslighting as an undercutting mechanism…again for political posturing. Association Education Department leadership hired Change by Design to work in a substantial way with those in the culture to help shift it to greater health.
The State of Florida's social marketing campaign for adopting children who were wards of the state was extremely successful, but also exposed serious challenges within the adoption system. Change by Design was hired to help.
Change by Design was hired by the Florida Department of Children and Families to develop a comprehensive curriculum for preservice child welfare workers.
The USF Department of OSHA Safety Florida Consultation Program was funded by the federal government to develop an eLearning equivalent to the print-based version available on The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) website. In this way, it would be more accessible to more students 24/7.
The legislative branch in the state of Florida identified a need to build and demonstrate competency for child care workers throughout Florida. In order to determine the impact of the legislative requirement to develop and deliver legally defensible exams that would ensure a common skill set in caring for children under the age of six in day care centers and other child care locations. In order to assess the implications of this new legislative requirement, the FL Department of Children and Families hired Change by Design to conduct a thorough policy analysis to determine various impacts, including on personnel, costs, etc.
