    • Develops job task analyses (JTA) based on provided protocol.
    • Develops process workflows based on JTA results.
    • Develops detailed design documents (outlines) for course development based on the JTA and process workflows.
    • Acquires and assembles relevant information through a variety of means as is relevant to the project, such as research, interviews, observations, surveys, focus groups, determining if and when each approach is needed for a particular project.

    Starting Contractor Pay Rates, Depending On Skills And Experience

    • Expert ID (has all these qualities) start from $75 - $85 per hour
    • Regular ID (has some of these qualities but not all) start from $50 - $70 per hour

    • We also anticipate providing at least one formal internship to students studying for their MS degrees start at a rate of $25 per hour
    • Mentorships (also at a reduced hourly rate not yet determined) available for individuals seeking experience in a larger project setting

    Availability Required
    • 40 hours per week

    Prospective Project Duration
    • 6 months, but possibly longer

    Expected Travel
    • 1–3-day trip to one or more of client’s food production facilities in the region near where you live

  • Capabilities

    • Expert instructional designer, capable of understanding complex tasks (with related knowledge), building mental models of the desired skill set, and designing/developing various types of learning (instructor-led training, eLearning) curricula that deliver higher-level thought, problem-solving, and other behavioral processes.
    • Rigorously applies instructional design theories, models and strategies to ensure effective learning.
    • Strong experience designing and developing a multi-week curriculum or has demonstrated ability to develop curriculum architectures and build curricula for extensive skill sets.
    • Works quickly and comprehensively, grasping large amounts of information and skill in a way that enables effective instructional design.
    • Builds in-depth case studies and case-based activities that feature all correct aspects of a problem and solution for relevant target audience consumption.
    • Develops a comprehensive and nuanced perspective of target audience members, incorporating that understanding in all case-based and scenario-based activities.
    • Collaborates with like colleagues who are building concurrent training related to the same subject matter, but different aspects of that subject matter.
    • Acquires and assembles relevant information through a variety of means, such as research, interviews, observations, surveys, focus groups, determining if and when each approach is needed for a particular project.
    • Incorporates relevant change facilitation processes, behavioral and attitude change facilitation, and motivational structures within training they design and develop to better ensure changed behavior.
    • Skilled in conducting needs assessments and needs analyses to gather sufficient information to design/develop relevant learning events.
    • Thinks outside the box to develop learning interventions that deliver effective results in the organization and beyond.
